Intern Program

How It Works

Michael Kelly Associates offers a year-round internship program for college students who desire to learn more about our multifaceted expertise within corporate governance and executive search.

We believe in providing ample opportunities for students to understand the world of business while also being mentored by members of our organization.

Since we are a boutique corporate governance and executive search firm, interns who participate in our program will be exposed to a myriad of business matters; however, with a primary focus on how companies make decisions about key leadership, including hiring and corporate governance.  Over the years we have been in operation, our firm has developed deep partnerships with some of the world’s leading corporations across various industries, including private equity, venture capital, healthcare, financial services, and technology.

Prospective candidates should anticipate working closely with our search leaders and should be prepared to help companies recruit individuals to well-defined roles, as well as still evolving roles within early stage start-up companies.

From a task perspective, interns will support the process of researching industry verticals, conducting market intelligence research, identifying potential candidates, assisting with the creation of presentations, evaluating professional skills, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of our business.

Michael Kelly Associates is a fast-paced and client-focused environment. We work smart, we work hard and we never forget to enjoy what we do.

Interns should have a strong grasp of technology, possess creative thinking abilities, exhibit effective research, writing and problem-solving skills, and hold a clear understanding of professional and social media. Attention to detail, listening skills, and organizational efficacy are also critically important.

Candidates must be versatile in the tasks given to them while also mindful that they will not be asked to do anything that we ourselves have not or would not do. Candidates should be self-confident, gregarious, eager to learn and possess a passion for global business.

To be considered for our intern program, a candidate must currently be enrolled as a college student at a private or public institution.  While we do routinely accept students seeking college credit, we realize this is not always possible, so you are welcome to apply if only seeking experience.
